Are you an accounting expert looking for a new challenge? Read this ad! Our client is hiring a Senior General Ledger Accountant to their offices in Prague!

 

The Company:

Our client is an accounting shared service centre established in 2012 to provide accounting services to group organizations. The company currently employs roughly 80 people in Prague, a team ranging from fresh graduates to experienced accounting professionals, and another 30 employees around Europe. They are continuously working on new projects and expect to further extend the functional scope and geographical range of their activities in the future.

Key activities:

  • Performing duties according to closing schedule
  • General Ledger accounting
  • Ensuring that accounting manuals and other documentation is kept up to date, ensuring that tasks are completed in time to meet deadlines for the monthly closing process
  • Providing statutory accounting and local financial statements
  • Monitoring of changes in local accounting legislation
  • Partner for communication regarding tax issues with business clients
  • Coordinating local processes as local statistics, reporting and others
  • Cooperating and providing information to stakeholders (client, auditors, HQ) if applicable
  • Various ad-hock questions, tasks and projects within functional responsibility requested by the manager
  • Providing training to newcomers or other employees in the scope
  • Performing other tasks as per management assignment

Qualifications required:

  • Good overview of Finnish GAAP
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with SAP
  • Finnish and English language – proficiency level
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Experience in a multinational company is an advantage
  • Responsible, proactive, independent and self-motivated individual
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Analytical thinking
  • Ability to apply hands-on approach if necessary
  • Good interpersonal skills (teamwork, communication skills)
  • Sense for detail, accuracy
