Job description

We are looking for a Danish speaking Payroll Specialist to beautiful Budapest! 

 

In this position you will be responsible to offer a positive and professional attitude, a means of attention to the several issues faced in your daily work, always favouring attention to users in an optimal and proactive way. 

 

 

What they need from you:

  • Native Danish language 
  • Strong communication level of English (B2+)
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience 

 

 

What you will do:

  • Ensure payroll process is run accurately and on time
  • Process advance payments based on request from HR
  • Send out payslips
  • Posting to accounting system
  • Perform absence process according to Danish laws, regulations and union agreements
  • Perform controls on travel expenses according to regulations
  • Retrieve salary files from Work Force planning system
  • Prepare payroll input reports to our payroll system, and manually input data from sources such as Excel sheets and a shared mailbox
  • Monitor and reconcile monthly, quarterly and annual tax filings for various payrolls/entities
  • Post and reconcile payroll items and perform internal controls. Send queries to client on discrepancies
  • Ensure payroll systems compliance and payroll data adequacy
  • Workforce planning system changes/set up
  • Testing after upgrade of payroll systems
  • Manual uploads according to agreement
  • Retrive and amend any changes from departments walkthrough of payroll drafts
  • Review, analyse and improve the current payroll processes to ensure compliance and readiness for Nordic payroll structure
  • Perform statutory reports to the authorities
  • Analyse and resolve employee payroll tax inquiries and troubleshoot tax issues affecting payroll
  • Payroll reconciliation, distributing and preparing payments, benefits, tax calculation and reconciliations, executive compensation, Pension and child calculating overtime
  • Full knowledge of industry practices and complete understanding of payroll principles, taxes, concepts, and practices including compliances
  • Proficient knowledge in payroll time application
  • Understanding of segregation of duties and internal audit requirements
  • Identify and participate in any service or tech led transformation projects as required from time to time
  • Strong troubleshooting/problem solving, analytical, and technical abilities
