Job In Poland

Now it is a good time to look for work in Poland. Surveys say that employers in this Central European country are struggling with finding skilled people to fill their available roles.

Companies in Poland value people with fluent language skills in a foreign language and they are now looking for foreign employees at an expanding rate. English is used in most companies as the business language. The most sought-after languages lately have been the Nordic languages, German, Dutch, Italian and French.

Minimum salary in Poland was around 470 euros a month in 2017, that is approximately 2000 Polish Zloty a month and it is actually one of the highest minimum salaries in the Central and Eastern Europe. The average salary, however, is circa 4500 Polish Zloty. To compensate the low salary levels, Poland has relatively low living costs, one of the lowest in the EU to be more accurate. In Poland the income tax rate is progressive, so the more you earn the higher the percentage, it is for example 18% if you make up to ca. 85000 PLN a year.

The Polish lifestyle and culture is close to that of other European nations, which makes it easy to build relationships and make friends. The urban life in Polish cities is lively, there is everything from exhibitions, concerts, talks, slow food events, film and music festivals not to mention several museums and galleries. Summer in Poland is all about being outside and there are lots of great things to do outdoors!

Some people say that when living in Poland it is like living in a different century, one doesn’t earn as much, but life has a quality different from others, life sort of moves at a slower pace. People are closer to their families and would rather spend time outside than for example at a shopping mall. One could say, the Polish people are more relaxed.
