Work In Budapest
Budapest is the capital and most popular city of Hungary and today Hungary is wholly Budapest-centred. Even though Hungarian is the official language in the country then English is widely spoken in Budapest.
Budapest is actually made up of 3 unified cities, with Buda and Óbuda on the west bank of the Danube river and Pest on the east bank. Much of the city has been granted UNESCO World Heritage Site status.

The Hungarian capital combines the old and new, enabling you to find hip and lively experiences behind its façade of classical splendour. So there is something for everyone – from dramatic history and flamboyant architecture to healing thermal waters and a nightlife that is unrivalled in Eastern and Central Europe. It is a magnificent city being one of the most photogenic cities in Europe.
Budapest is a significant economic hub, classified as an Beta + global city and it was ranked as the second fastest-developing urban economy in Europe hence it’s home to many international companies.
Most expats tend to live on the Buda side due to it being more peaceful, residential and offering many green spaces. Compared to other European cities, the rental costs in Budapest are relatively cheap. The city has a very good public transport system which means there is no need for a car, high standards of living and great value for money. There is a big expat scene making it extremely easy to get in contact with other expats either via meetups or Facebook.
